Mall in California to host senior show

Senior active living show for elders who are looking for more resourcesThe Bayshore Mall in Eureka, California, will be hosting an "Active Living Senior Show" for aging individuals in the area this upcoming weekend, according to the Times-Standard.

The show, which is aimed to guide seniors in living an active and full life, will have vendors and agencies to help elders in their everyday lives. They will be able to receive advice on everything from their finances to fitness. They can also find out what assisted living facilities or retirement living communities may be best for them and will have the opportunity to join various social clubs in the area, the media outlet reports.

According to Caring.com, there are currently more than 70 million individuals who are looking after their aging parent or relative.

Many caregivers, whether they are providing home care or are miles away from their loved one, tend to worry about the well-being of their aging parent. However, seminars such as these may lessen the burden, as seniors are able to keep up with their active lifestyles and live independently. In some cases, retirement living communities may be the way to go, as elders are able to be around peers and have the services they need close by.
