Wilder, who shot to fame after penning one of the most famous children's books, Little House on the Prairie, was also 65 years old when she finished her very first novel.


Finally, Ronald Reagan is looked to as another high-achieving retirement living senior. The actor-turned-politician was nearly 70 years old when he was elected President of the United States.


Retirement living seniors should remember that success can come at any age, even for Hollywood actors. In fact, Jessica Tandy won her first Oscar for her performance in Driving Miss Daisy when she was almost 80 years old.
