Texas seniors enjoy excellent retirement living communities at affordable prices

Choosing a retirement living community is often difficult, as many active living seniors are seeking to satisfy a variety of wants and needs. However, in Fort Worth, Texas, The Courtyards' excellent reputation and enviable accommodations have led to a long waiting list, according to the Fort Worth Business Press.

Happily, the owner of The Courtyards, Malcolm Street, has recently expanded his retirement living community, which will allow more space for prospective residents.

The Courtyards opened in 1987. "I wanted a neighborhood," Street told the news source. "I wanted to do senior housing with young professionals, but the market dictated otherwise."

So, he decided to focus on creating a small but profitable retirement living community that would that be fairly priced and offer a variety of services. In 2008, the facilities underwent a $1 million renovation which created a new 26-unit assisted living facility and a 3,000-square-foot-cafe.

According to AllBusiness.com, many retirement living facilities are expected to expand their capacity as the aging baby boomer population creates a greater demand for their services.
