Down on the Jersey Shore, tour bus companies like Senior Excursions in Wildwood say that low rates are a factor for seniors who take trips to beach locations in th
e Wildwoods and further north, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
Senior Excursions president Marc Lambert said that many of the seasonal attractions in the region offer discounts to seniors who visit before July and after August to account for the low attendance during those times by families whose children have to return to school by Labor Day.
Independent living community residents further west may want to check out tours like those run by Rocky Mountaineer Vacations in British Columbia, according to Crosscut Online.
Herbert Wat, Rocky Mountaineer vice president of marketing, told the news provider that his company plans to offer extended train-based excursions priced at the same rate as shorter trips that will appeal to the "40+ demographic" and retirees that the business sees as its best customers.
