The American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) will be holding its annual Long Term Care and the Law Conference from February 19 to February 21, 2014 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Hotel. The conference will focus on "Acute and Post-Acute Integration: Insights from Both Outside and Inside the Long-term Care Spectrum."

Workshops address leading issues within the post-acute continuum and include post-payment audit and fraud and abuse, regulatory compliance, and transactions within long term care.

The Keynote Luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 20 - "Media Management in Long-Term Care Litigation."

The 12th Mild Cognitive Impairment Symposium will be held at The Wien Center for Alzheimer's Disease and Memory Disorders, Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach on Saturday, January 18, 2014, from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm. The theme of the conference is "Predicting and Measuring Progression in Early Alzheimer's Disease (AD)"

The Keynote Address: The Relationship between Aβ Deposition, Neurodegeneration and Cognitive Function in Normal and Impaired Individuals, will be given by Clifford R. Jack, MD, Mayo Clinic.

The MiniSymposium 2 will feature Approaches to Measuring Cognitive and Functional Change across the MCI Spectrum, with Chair: David Loewenstein, PhD, ABPP, University of Miami

The conference will be held in conjunction with the 3rd Annual Early Alzheimer's Diagnostic and Treatment Workshop, featuring Diagnostic Case Studies of Preclinical Alzheimer's Disease (AD), MCI-AD and Probable AD. The date is Sunday, January 19, 2014, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Keynote Lecture: Challenges in the Diagnosis of Early Alzheimer's Disease, with Stephen Salloway, MD, Brown University Medical School.
