As reported by the Ocean City Today newspaper, a Delaware assisted living community of 87 residents has organized a calendar featuring eight ‘pin up’ seniors with proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Association.
According to the news source, the six female and two male models, residents of Brandywine Senior Living at Fenwick Island, who range in age from 78 to 92, had their photos taken at a number of locations, including the fire hall, airport, beach, as well as a hotel.
“All of the women got very much into it, and so did the men. It was such a fun day,” Kathleen Jacobs of Brandywine told the newspaper.
And although the calendars haven’t been printed yet, Jacobs said they are already making a splash. She said about 100 have already been pre-ordered, and they will sell for $20.
Jacobs told the newspaper that they hope to raise about $10,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Brandywine at Fenwick Island is located in Selbyville, a Delaware town near the Maryland border, with a population of just above 2,000 people.
