The rankings are based on how many residents are currently living at the communities.
The fifth on the list is the Springfield Masonic Community, which was also ranked number five in 2010.
Fourth is the Elmcroft of Washington Township, which moved from the sixth spot last year.
Number three, the Elmcroft of Xenia, has stayed steady this year as well. The same can be said for the Brighton Gardens of Washington Township and Brethern Retirement Community, which are ranked number two and one, respectively.
The Ohio Department of Aging has also released the Long Term Care Guide of Ohio, which rates retirement communities on a scale of 1 to 100 based on two key questions that residents are asked - whether they like the facility and whether they would recommend it to a friend, according to The Chillicothe Gazette.
