Stylus pen makes it easier for older adults to stay connected

Although the iPhone has revolutionized the way many people stay connected, for some older adults, it can be a problem. Whether it's because of poor eyesight, arthritis or a decreased hand-eye coordination, the touch screen can be difficult to operate and may discourage some senior citizens from buying the helpful device.


ElderGadget.com reports that Ten One Design recently developed the stylus pen in order to make it easier for older adults to make use of the technology.


Now, the company has released a clip that wraps around the phone to make it easier to carry.

In addition to being able to hold the stylus pen closer, the clip can also be transformed into a stand.


The advent of iPhone, and other similar gadgets, may be a benefit to an increasing number of elderly individuals who are making use of technology. Susanna LeBouef, director of the Lafourche Parish Public Library System, told the courier she experiences this trend, by adding that she has been teaching a growing number of senior citizens in Houma, Louisiana how to best use the Internet.
