Active living senior Lily Tomlin still working hard at 70 years old

Lily Tomlin may be 70 years old, but the active living senior is working as hard as she did in her youth.

The actress - who has been continually praised for her comedic prowess - is currently showing off her dramatic skills as the character Marilyn Tobin in the FX legal drama Damages. Tomlin recently spoke with the LA Times about her love of both comedy and drama.

"I don't see any difference, really.

Tomlin shot to fame in 1969 on the hit sketch show Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, where she played the silly schoolgirl character Edith Ann. The actress says she is still friendly with several of the retirement living seniors who were involved with the series.

"Oh, yeah, many of them I am. I see Jo Anne [Worley] quite often. And George Schlatter, the producer, I've always been close to George. He was really the reason for me to become well known."

Martin Short, who is 60 years old, also stars with Tomlin on Damages as the secretive lawyer Leonard Windstone.
