In an interview with the UK's Radio 4's Front Row, Sir Paul McCartney confirmed the existence of a song titled "Carnival of Light" and said he wants the song to "get its moment," Reuter reports.
The interview is scheduled to be broadcast in the UK this Thursday (November 20th) at 7:15 p.
m. GMT.
"I said it would be great to put this on because it would show we were working with really avant-garde stuff," said McCartney in the interview.
The 14-minute song was written for the Million Volt Light and Sound Rave, an electronic music festival, Billboard reports. It received its only public play at the festival in 1967.
When asked to describe the song during the interview, McCartney replied, "I said all I want you to do is just wander around all the stuff, bang it, shout, play it, it doesn't need to make any sense."
In order for the song to receive that moment, McCartney needs the permission of Ringo Starr and the estates of George Harrison and John Lennon.
