Home Instead Senior Care in Stafford, VA, thinks differently. It has created a gift-giving program for seniors. From December 15 to December 20, gifts will be delivered to seniors within the community.
Karl Karch, owner of Home Instead Senior Care, told StaffordCountySun.com: “Many older adults continue to struggle in a down economy, particularly those who live alone with no family nearby to help provide resources.”
Christmas trees, which will go up in surrounding areas and will feature ornaments with the first names only of seniors and their gift requests.
“We hope holiday shoppers will open their hearts to those seniors who have given so much to make our community a better place,” Karch told the media source.
Home Instead offices have received close to 1,000 names of needy and lonely seniors. They are expecting to deliver approximately 2,000 gifts.
Gift giving is very helpful to seniors in Assisted Living and Continuing Care.
