Need to sell your home quick? One retirement home is offering free help

After years of a sluggish real estate market in the United States, many people, including seniors, have struggled to sell their homes at reasonable prices. But now, an assisted living community in New Jersey is helping seniors to take a lot of the stress out of selling their home and moving out.

As reported recently in the Long Branch-Eatontown Patch newspaper, Seabrook Village, a retirement community in the town of Tinton Falls, New Jersey is offering the services of local senior move manager Laurie Williamson for seniors who move to the residence.

Senior move managers are professional who help elderly people during the entire moving process, from sorting and packing boxes, listing their home,  and even making the actual move, according to the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM).

“Without Laurie's help, there is no way they would be able to sell that quickly,” Seabrook Village’s director of sales Rick Kiernan told the newspaper.

Kiernan added that, thanks to Laurie’s efforts, the homes she is helping with are selling more than six times faster than comparable homes in the county- 18 days compared to 111 days.

Tinton Falls is a town of 18,000 people located in Monmouth County, and is located about 32 miles south of New York City.
